Microsoft Windows 11

I have a mini desktop. the original problem was the device would not power on. LED light will turn on but not power on the device.

I have reset the CMOS already and the device did power on. but after a few hours powered off again and will not power on.

We have noticed when the case is removed the device powers on instantly? and this can be replicated multiple times?

Very confused what could be causing this, any help or suggestions would be amazing.

Greetings @Tyler_Fos

Welcome to the HP Forum.

Sounds like the case is coming into contact with power somewhere.

Maybe a pinched wire or current is flowing where it should not be flowing. This event would create a short to ground.

You would have to thoroughly inspect the device to find the cause.

The PSU's  protection circuits are doing their job.
