how config additional hard drive  in HP ProDesk 600 G3 Microtower PC

@ljohns31,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Your HP ProDesk 600 G3 MT motherboard with p/n: 911989-601 / 911989-001 has four (4) functional SATA data ports (SATA0/1/2/3) as you can see here.

The dark blue-colored SATA0 is used for your primary (boot) drive, whereas the other three sky blue-colored SATA data ports can be used for additional, secondary SATA HDDs or SSDs as you see fit.

And now to your question: there is really nothing to "configure": other than initializing (formatting) any additional drive using CMD Diskpart and/or using your Windows Disk Management software ("Create and format hard disk partitions"), all you have to do is using a SATA data cable and power your drive using a 15-pin SATA power cable and you're good to go.

Kind Regards,
