My HP ProDesk 600 G5 has 4 x 16G RAM. When I insert a Broadcom BCM5719 TMGR6 Quad-port NIC into either PCIe slot the memory in DIMM3 is no longer recognized. This fault presents at the BIOS level and has nothing to do with the OS as the BIOS, Windows and Linux only see 48G of RAM when the card is inserted and 64G when it is not.
I tested the Broadcom BCM5719 a HP EliteDesk 800 G4 with the same result - no BCM5719, 64G, with BCM5719 memory error until DIMM3 is empty.
There is either a BIOS issue with HP or a Firmware issue with Broadcom. Note that the same issue was reported at https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-ProDesk-400-G4-SFF-PCIe-Issu.... And a very similar one at https://www.dell.com/community/Optiplex-Desktops/Optiplex-7060-dimm-slot-4-and-PCIe-network-card/td-...
