I just got a second CPU for my server which is quite old, and it will not boot unless I have a fan in the first header. I have one exhaust fan, presumably bound to CPU 2, and one intake fan up top which can't be moved because it triggers its own error. I was wondering if there was a workaround for this, or otherwise a cheap way to obtain a new fan.
I also noticed there's a little jumper on one of my fan headers, wondering if I can replicate that to spoof a fan presence.

Hi:
HP split into two companies a few years back.
HP supports PC's, printers, tablets and calculators.
HP Enterprise (HPE) supports servers, switches, routers and tape drives.
You may also want to post your question on the HPE Community Support Fourm -- ProLiant servers section...
