Drive failed completely without any warning. Now it was not able to be detected by bios / OS. That was a backup machine. I think the total hours for this S700 should be less than 40 hours!
Tried to look up / file warranty online, nothing showed up. Called HP and was given [edit] , the problem is: no one answered the phone call and the voice mail box is FULL! Called HP again and was given an email address[edit] emailed them today. We'll see what will happen.
This is definitely the worst experience with hard drive warranty so far. I don't think I will purchase any of these HP SSDs again.

While any product can fail, it is disheartening.
The SSD you purchased has a 3 year warranty from that vendor.
