Product: HP EX920 M.2 1TB PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe 3D TLC NAND Internal Solid State Drive
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Received this drive on Friday and installed it over the weekend.

When checking the drive info, temps don't change from 54c (known issue).

Sequential Read/Write speeds are not going above 1200 Mb/s. 

Can't find support on the HP site for this drive.

 

Should I send it back or is there info that can help?

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

Some HP motherboards only run M.2 NVME drives at PCIe 3.0x2 speeds. HP has cut PCIE lanes to the M.2 socket. That could be why you are only getting about 1200 MB/s.

 

Download HWInfo portable (Link). CrystalDiskMark 6.02 Zip (Link) will test the drive.

 

Run some read/write tests on the drive using CDM 6.02 and open HWInfo. You can monitor drive temps as you stress the drive.

 

Forgot to add that NVME drives will throttle at about 70 degrees C.
