Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey guys so I purchased an SSD from  Amazon, I installed it, ran windows 10 on it, and it has been fairly good about 2 months. Now it completely crashed, nothing shows, and when I type in the S/n or P/n in the warranty check i get "Product not found".

How do i know if the drive was fake or something?

I've always used HP SSDs this is a first for me.

Thank you!

Hi:

The product number is not fake since it shows up in the HP parts surfer website.

I recommend that you call HP customer support if the website is not providing any useful information.

Wow thank you for such a prompt reply. I will try that right now. Sadly it keeps taking me to this Useless virtual assistant which doesn't help because it doesn't recognize the S/N.

Still thank you very very much!

You're very welcome.

Hey so sorry to bother again. I have been on the phone line for over an hour and a half with no response, and there is no email to contact them through because the menu that gets me there requires a S/n p/n that the system must recognize.

An awfully neat method to not support possibly defective items.

Hi:

Since I don't work for or represent HP, all I can do is to ask a forum moderator to have a HP support agent get in touch with you via the forum's private message system.

Jesus you are awesome.

Please have them reach out if possible.

Thank you Paul.

Hey just an update. At least 4 confirmed to have gone bad so far. Once again no support is given because the S/n doesn't populate on the site, or over the phone. All bought from Staples, or BestBuy. I've sent emails, posted on social media hopefully there is one descent employee who can help here. Crickets otherwise. I have recommended so many of my customers, friends and family to HP. I feel like a lier and a fool.
The SSD saga continues as I am not the only one.
