Apologies for wasting ALL of your time. The answer is quite simple. HP Support Assist has failed to recognise that the PCs in question have been updated from Win8.1 to Win10 and so are providing incorrect download suggestions.
Thank you to Dragon-Fur for the www.hp.com/support suggestion which does correctly identify the operating system in use - I assume HP Support Assist is simply working from a supplier database and is not correctly querying the PCs in question.
So, finally thanks for the responses. Much appreciated. QED

Hi,
Please try again and select one by one, not all 8 in one go.
Regards.

Apologies for jumping in unannounced.
HPSA is great.. until it fails to work as expected for some mysterious reason. Some of the reasons the program can fail are easy to fix while others remain obscure (server issues, network clogged, lost bits over the vast spaces of the Internet, local computer configuration...)
Try:
- Uninstall the existing HPSA program from Programs and Features,
- Restart the computer,
- Download, and install a fresh copy of the program
Download Page:
- If you have ‘Admin’ control, you may highlight the package and “double-click” to install it, else Right-Click, select run as Administrator and install.

Open the Website Support Page for your computer:
Matching products for United States (3)
Using the driver list from HPSA, look up each of the Driver(s) noted for Update.
Download the driver(s) manually (one at a time), save to your downloads folder.
Install the drivers one at a time as desired.
Restart your computer as requested during the driver installation OR (at the least), Restart the computer after the final driver has been installed.

You are welcome.
The only time I have seen this response from the HPSA (having been removed after the Upgrade > system rebooted > and fresh install of HPSA) is when there are not viable Windows 10 Drivers for the upgraded computer system.
The program, having detected your computer's Operating System version, should (in my opinion) be checking the matching Software and Drivers catetories for that same OS.
I selected the first system of the Matching products for United States (3) and checked it -- there are Windows 10 Drivers for that computer.
I am sorry removing / reinstalling the program did not help. HPSA is updated on occasion, you might check back in a while and try it again, particluarly after having manually updated the rest of the Drivers for your Windows 10 version.
