HP Thimpu Motherboard (IPM17-TP)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just got a new computer case, got everything hooked up without too many problems, but when I started up, my front two USB 3.0 ports were dead. The old case I had was what came with the Envy 750-170se package. The new case is the Silverstone RL08.

Keep in mind that the Envy case had 3 USB 3.0 ports on the front panel, whereas the RL08 has 2. Not sure if this causes any issues with the pinouts.

What I'm essentially looking for is a pinout of the IPM17-TP Front USB 3.0 header, as well as possibly a pinout of the Envy case's front panel USB 3.0 connector. I'm in the process of contacting Silverstone about a diagram of their front-panel connector.

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

HP is close to the vest regarding this stuff.

Maybe a different forum member can help.

It is not wise to mix HP stuff with retail parts.

Regards

Essentially I'm looking for an answer to this question: Is the Front panel USB 3.0 header on the Thimphu motherboard, found here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04790224, the "standard" pinout?
