I have recently purchased HP USB 3.0 128 GB Pen drive. Yesterday, it was corrupted so I have formatted it. However, after formatting pen drive only shown connected in the PC but not working and even formating option or drive details also not shown there. Before formatting it shown in mobile with OTG but now in mobile it is not shown as connected.

I requested you to do the needful.

Thanking you.

Hi @Lalit_N_Rajvir,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it is when your pen drive stops working, especially after a format. Based on your description, it seems the USB drive might be corrupted at a hardware or partition level, which is why it's not showing any details on your PC or being detected on your mobile via OTG.

Please try the following steps:

  1. Connect to PC → Press Windows + X → Select Disk Management
    • Check if the USB drive appears there (even without a drive letter).
    • If listed, try right-clicking and selecting "New Simple Volume" to reformat and assign a drive letter.

If the drive does not appear in Disk Management or tools fail to detect it, it may be a hardware failure.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
