Been a bear trying to get a straight answer to this question and hoping some people could give a definitive answer....

Have a HP Victus 15L TG002-0137c   that currently has a AMD 6600RTX GPU , and I was looking to switch it out to a faster NVIDIA version.

1)  Under the current configuration/PSU (350w), what is the fastest NVIDIA card I can upgrade with?

2)  If I wanted to upgrade the PSU what are my options?  I've read/watched videos that conflict with each other and say that either a 400w or a 500w are the options, but then I read that the 400w is not supported and only the 500w is an option.  And then I read the 500w is not an option with the ERICA motherboard in my system (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c08368395)  Just so confused.  I guess I just need to know what my PSU upgrade options are with the ERICA motherboard.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Your Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-0137c PC (575S2AA), according to: https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=575S2AA, and: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c08368395, is supposed to be fitted with a 500-watt power supply with p/n: L89233-001 "SKO-PSU 500W MT WS20 EPA90" to power an RX 6600 XT.

So, I'll have to ask you to double-check what wattage your power supply is, because an RX 6600 XT requires at least a 450-watt power supply (see: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-rx-6600-xt.c3774), and it would crash or significantly down-throttle with an underpowered power supply.

If somehow you do have a 350-watt power supply fitted in your desktop (please verify), you can upgrade it with the aforementioned 500-watt power supply, which can be found online, such as this $89 eBay purchase example from a "Top Rated Plus" (trusted) Seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/284911357484?epid=22052722496&hash=item42560a4e2c%3Ag%3AnpQAAOSwQuhkP5nk&am....

Btw, if you are in the market for a different GPU, please note that a 500-watt power supply is pretty much maxed out using an RX 6600 XT. With a 500-watt PSU, I would strongly recommend an HP-branded RX 3060 Ti, if only Nvidia graphics cards outperform AMD cards every day of the week and twice on Sunday. You can purchase reasonably priced HP RTX 3060 Ti cards via eBay as well, such as this purchase example: HP NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3060 TI GRAPHICS CARD | M31640-002 | 8GB GDDR6 | eBay.

Hope this was helpful.

Thank you guys so much for the response and the links.  That would truly solve my problesms.  I guess I cannot tell what PSU I have without opening it up?

My spec sheet, Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-0137c PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support, shows ERROR123 for the power supply (naturally) 😛

I'll crack it open and verify.  Thanks so much!

@tekgator22,

That is correct, opening up your desktop is easy enough.  You should see this:

Hello a question but what if I just want to change the case? Is it impossible to transfer everything to another house? Or you can do it thanks. Excuse my ignorance, I'm not an expert on the subject, why can't it be done? After all, I just want to change the case, I don't want to change the motherboard and power supply, is it really impossible to do this?

i have victus 15l with reno2 motherboard

@Ivagrom76,

Why would you want to change the case?  It may be possible, but I wouldn't be able to give you any suggestions.
