Need help upgrading/expand storage to my PC. Any recommendations what to buy? My original 512gb are almost used up.

Welcome to the HP Forum.
You would be able to install a SATA SSD. Your PC should have a spare SATA data cable and an available SATA power cable for a second storage device.
The case provides a HDD/SSD cage to install a second drive.
Or you could upgrade the 512 GB M.2 NVME SSD to a larger capacity. This option is a little more involved.
It is not easier but it is much quicker to image or clone the existing OS to the higher capacity SSD if you upgrade the M.2 SSD.
But you can also reinstall the HP factory image on a new M.2 SSD. You would have to back up data and start from scratch if you chose this method.
SATA SSDs used for data storage are fine. I use M.2 drives for the operating system coupled with SATA SSDs for data storage with zero problems.
