The best processor compatible with your Victus By HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000a (4H509AV) as fitted with an Erica8 motherboard (SSID: 89D8), would be an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G.
HP has not released a BIOS upgrade that would make an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X work in your desktop.
Yes, Users have tried out the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X on an Erica8 motherboard (SSID: 89D8) platform and have reported it not working. For example, you won't find any Victus with an Erica8 motherboard (SSID: 89D8) to be fitted with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X in UserBenchMark: UserBenchmark: HP Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-0xxx Compatible Components.
This is hardly the end of the world as you know it. Performance-wise, an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G is only about 5% less powerful than an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-Ryzen-7-5700G-vs-AMD-Ryzen-5-5600X/m1552677vs4084. I mean, a processor with 8-Cores, 16-Threads, having a 3.80 GHz base clock and a max boost clock of 4.60 GHz, should be able to play just about any game when paired with a decent graphics card.
For example, here is an HP Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-0xxx fitted with an AMD Ryzen 7 5700G to illustrate that a gaming desktop fitted with the aforementioned processor can be performing outstandingly: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/52809161.
Hope this was helpful.
