Hello everyone! I recently found this PC, a 600-1365qd TouchSmart PC (XL732AV), discarded by neighbors (left in the trash). They also had thrown out a monitor. I tested the monitor and it worked just fine. They hadn't thrown out the power cord with the PC unfortunately, so I plugged this PC into the only power adapter I has that fits the connector. It booted right up, and I reinstalled Windows 10 to get rid of any personal information (formatted drive). It seems to be in fine shape minus exterior damage and blemishes. Touchscreen works and everything. The only strange thing is that it froze up and shut down when I had a game open and was running a lot of tabs to stress test it. It also runs BIOS and the POST screen verryyy slowly, but the OS and everything else runs smoothly. I believe this is because I am using a 90 Watt power adapter, and this computer calls for 150 Watts. However, before I spend money to get the correct adapter, I just wanted to see if anyone can confirm my suspicion, or if there are other likely causes of these performance issues. Are these generally reliable computers? Or should I avoid spending any money? After all, it was thrown away... perhaps for a reason or perhaps just because it's 10 years old. Thanks!

@CryptoCrafter , welcome to the Community.
Here are all of the components for the computer in HP PartSurfer: https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=XL732AV
If you scroll down to the section titled "AC Adapter (585010-001)" you will find the power requirements: https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-HP-HSTNN-LA09-TOUCHSMART-585010-001/dp/B07NTNC585
You are correct when you stated that it requires an adapter with 150W. The 90W adapter that you are using is nearly half of what is required. This could definitely cause a game to freeze and more symptoms that you are experiencing.
