hello,
Firstly cheers during the COVID-19 Quarantine.
I want to upgrade my HP-Z400 6 DIMM edition to the 24 G limit.
Following the memory configuration and optimisation : http://h20331.www2.hp.com/Hpsub/downloads/HP-Z400-Workstation-memory-configuration-and-optimization....
i've buyd 24GB 6x4GB DDR3 PC DIMM 1333 Mhz PC3-10600E ECC RAM MAC PRO 4,1 5,1 (https://www.ebay.fr/itm/133340544196)
I've tried different configurations with the said DIMM but the workstation wont boot and beep thowing RAM error.
Event trying with one of my actual memory + one (or more) of the new memory, the workstation will POST - boot Hard drives - then throw error 203 and 204 for the DIMM corresponding to my new memory.
I tried to upgrade my BIOS to 3.61 but nothing changes.. I read that the 6 DIMM edition is compatible with buffered and unbuffered ram and the memory PDF says "4-GB dual-rank PC3-10600E 1333 MHZ ECC DIMMs", so for me "4GB DDR3 PC DIMM 1333 Mhz PC3-10600E ECC RAM" should be compatible, no ?
Can anyone give me some lights ?
(french, dont mind my grammar )

The only problem I can see is that the RAM you bought is advertised as MAC Pro RAM and MAC RAM and PC RAM are not necessarily compatible. More on that can be found in this Web page.
