Hi,
I have the problem that my Z8 G4 Workstation speeds up the 3 fans if i start 3dmark and dont throttle it down if i quit the program.
I have changed the cpu´s , the graphics card , ram, fans and powersupply.
nothing helps.
I have 3 other Z8 G4 Wks that don´t do this problem.
Anyone who has some experience with this prolem???
best regards
Abramelin
ps:
Sorry for my bad english.

CPU Mark makes the desktop work hard and would take a while for the cool down to the Delta T trigger point in the BIOS coding.
Have you waited a while to see if the fan spools down or does the fan just stay spooled up until you turn off the PC?

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
I wait 30 Minutes but the three fans won´t slow down.
these 3 fans speed up if i start the program 3dmark , i´m not running any benchmarks!!!
only program start!
if i reboot the system then the fans in are normal silent working.
my other 3 z8 g4´s don´t do this.
i hope it´s not a mainboard failure .

"if i reboot the system then the fans in are normal silent working." That is normal.
Somehow that program is triggering a glitch in your laptop's firmware.
Now that you know that it happens, why use that utility?
I would reinstall the chipset software, The Intel IME software and the BIOS.
