I recently purchased a HP Z840 specs 2 x intel Xeon E5-2680v4, 64GB (4 x 16Gb) single rank DDR4 ECC, EVGA GTX 1080 SC 8GB, Win 10 Pro X64 22H2.
I would like to add a Tesla M40 24GB or Tesla P40 24GB to the system. I know these cards are passively cooled and meant to be installed in
servers, and in that environment they fine. I also know that Z840 optionally come with Tesla cards from HP direct. So my question does the HP Z840's
case able to keep this card cool with out having to add a 3rd party blower fan assembly as I've seen people do when installing these cards in modern
desktop setups? Also the system already has the 1125W Power supply so it should have no problem with the additional power draw. If there is any other information that is needed let me know and I'll update this post. Thank you in advance.
