I can not upgrade my HP All-in-one 24-e001no to a SSD.
Tried with both Samsung QVO, Samsung EVO and Crucial mx500 who all supports the computer.
I did try cloning with 4 different softwares, tried with empty disc and boot with USB.
Tried cheating the computer by changing disk in the middle of booting and a few other things.
Am I tricked once again or is something I did on apple, acer, asus, dell and many other computers restricted on HP so we have to buy a new computer?
Please, humbly please with buttercream on top, I need help.

this system board only supports a single SATA based mech drive or SSD using the single SATA port on the motherboard
the default drive is a 1TB Hybrid mech/ssd drive, this hybrid drive will run considerably faster than an standard HDD but slower than a pure SSD.
it does not support NVME based ssd's
the single M.2 slot on this board is wired for a wireless card only and has no support for ssd's

cloning this drive may require special config on the cloning software due to the stock drive being a hybrid drive
i recommend a clean os install, after creating a recovery image

Thank you DGrove, I am using the SATA cord that the HD is jacked into, not a NVME based SSD. I have tried other cord as well.
Have tried a clean os install, with a USB windows 10 install software, but the HP computer does not recognise the SATA SSD.
Thank you DGrove for trying to help.

you may have a power connection issue, there is no difference between the devices interface or power wise as both devices use the same power pinout and sata interface (if not a nvme device or sas device)
what is the EXACT model number of the SSD that is giving you a problem?

this is a rather modern motherboard, as such it should have no issues with ssd's, however when i check the crucial web site they list no ssd's for this model however it's possible they simply have not got around to this model yet your current 1TB drive is a combo drive mech for main R/W with a small SSD used as a buffer this ssd is internal to the drive and will not show up as a separate storage device
can you swap out the sata cable, and does the custom power cable fight tightly on the ssd drive?

Thank you DGroves, I will try to swap, tried a friends hp cable in the past, but did not work, does it have to be other brands cable maybe?
This is how my sata cable and mother board looks like

This cable works fine with the Toshiba SSHD
