My HP computer mouse is not working. It is not a wireless mouse. The mouse banged against the wall when it fell and ever since then, the red light underneath the mouse where it says optical sensor, is continually on. The mouse pointer does not show up on the computer screen and I can’t click anything. Idk if there is a fix to this but if so please let me know asap.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Have you checked with a different mouse?
Meanwhile, I recommend you uninstall the mouse driver from device manager and then restart the computer and check if it helps.
Here is how it is done.
- Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
- Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
- On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
- When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.
NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.
If you continue facing the issue, then it may be a hardware issue and you may need to replace the mouse.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
