I'm trying to install a SSD 3 TB on my wonderful DC 7900 but I dont know if the motherboard is UEFI compatible

Hi:
The dc7900 does not support UEFI so you cannot use a 3 TB drive as a boot drive and expect to see all 3 TB.
The first PC in the model series that had a UEFI BIOS was the HP 8200 Elite desktop.
From where your PC is, it goes dc7900, 8000 Elite, 8100 Elite, 8200 Elite, with the 8300 Elite being the last model in that series before HP switched to the Elitedesk 800 model series.
The largest capacity drive you can install and use as a boot drive and expect the total drive space in your PC is a 2 TB drive.

Hello Paul Thank you for helping me solving my problem.
I have been away in Croatia for a week and I forgot my beautiful DC7900.
I'll have to invest in a more recent machine but I am so much attached to the design of this beutiful HP Tower.
I give it a chance with low capacity disks. Have a wonderful Sunday.
