The other day I got a HP driver update for BIOS. Since finishing the update, I get a message every time I start up from sleeping mode.

How do I get it fixed - not only by keying N.

This is based on my understanding and should be accurate, but I’m not 100% certain. If no one else replies and you can’t find another solution, you can try what I said below carefully:

Did you use bitlocker? If yes then, Press N to boot into Windows → search BitLocker → back up the recovery key and temporarily turn BitLocker off → reboot → when the message appears again, press Y to reset TPM → boot into Windows → turn BitLocker back on.

If BitLocker was never enabled, then you can press Y directly and you’re done.

To check bitlocker status:

  • Boot into Windows (press N once)
  • Search “BitLocker”
  • If it says “BitLocker is off” for all drives → you never used it

Greetings @Stegmann43

BitLocker should be turned off prior to doing a BIOS update.

I agree with @Venom21.

And don't use BitLocker if you don't need it.

I've seen the correct BitLocker recovery key fail to unlock the encrypted system drive after a BIOS update. You could lose access to the system drive and may have to reinstall Windows if the correct BitLocker recovery key fails to unlock the drive.

You should immediately back up system drive user data to an external drive as soon as possible to be safe.

Regards
