Hi @Fierro5,

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand your HP Envy is stuck in an Automatic Repair loop after a recent Windows and HP update. Let’s go through a few steps to help you get it back to normal.

Perform a Hard Reset
Disconnect all external devices such as USB drives and printers. Unplug the power cord and, if it’s a laptop, remove the battery if it is removable. Hold down the power button for 15 seconds to drain any residual power. Reconnect only the power cord and try turning the system back on.

Access Advanced Startup Options
If the PC automatically goes into the Automatic Repair screen, select “Advanced Options.” Then choose “Troubleshoot” followed by “Advanced Options.”

Use Startup Repair
Select “Startup Repair” from the list and allow Windows to diagnose and fix any boot-related issues automatically. This process may take several minutes to complete.

Run System Restore
If Startup Repair doesn’t work, go back to “Advanced Options” and select “System Restore.” Choose a restore point created before the issue started and follow the prompts to revert your system settings.

Boot into Safe Mode
If System Restore fails, from “Advanced Options,” select “Startup Settings” and then “Restart.” After restart, press F4 (or the number 4) to enter Safe Mode. Once in Safe Mode, uninstall the most recent Windows or HP updates that may have caused the issue.

Run System File and Disk Checks
In “Advanced Options,” open “Command Prompt” and run the commands to scan and repair corrupted system files and check the disk for errors. These scans help correct underlying problems causing the repair loop.

Disable the Automatic Repair Loop
If the PC continues looping into repair mode, disable the automatic repair process from Command Prompt. This will allow the system to attempt a normal boot.

I hope this helps.
