Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

Hello, 

 

I recently purchased an HP 27f 27 Inch Ultra Slim IPS Monitor and have be having the following issue; I am unable to remove the power cord/battery from the monitor without it turning off. 

 

When I first got the monitor, I thought this was because it needed to be charged. Having now left it in the charge for 8+ hours, I am still unable to remove the power cord without the monitor turning off completely. 

 

Does the monitor require the power cord to be attached at all times or is this an issue and how can I fix this?

Please understand that the power supply is not a charger.

This system is feedback driven thru Solution and Kudo flags. It's the only means of knowing if you have been served. Please click Accept as Solution, if your problem is solved. To say THANK YOU, press the "thumbs up symbol" to render a KUDO. You can render both Solution and KUDO..
