HI,
I recently got my Victus 15L TG02-2079 (motherboard: HP 8B3B, Intel Core i7-14700F/1TB SSD/16GB RAM/GeForce RTX 4060 Ti/Win 11).
It runs hot during medium-heavy gaming (GPU:70-80 °C, CPU:85-91 °C). This happens while CPU usage is around only 10%! And with the CPU stress test, it goes up to 95°C. Yes, It is an SFF case and does not have the best airflow. Therefore, I was considering some cooling upgrades. I added two fans (80mm, and 92mm) to the side mesh panel and connected them to a SATA power, so running at full speed, does not make any difference at different configurations (both as intakes, both as exhausts, one for each). Therefore, I am considering changing the stock Intel Laminar RM1 cooler to a better CPU cooler. Can you please help me with finding some compatible options that can fit the motherboard socket and reduce the temperatures 10-15 °C? I am particularly looking for options without the need to change the MB backplate.
I have already checked some videos, but cannot decide:
