My computer doesn’t Boot the Hard Drive is bad computer shows blue square screen f3 and quick hard drive scan says no access, I need a drop in SSD recommended compatibility type for envy 700-230

I recommend this model SSD in a storage capacity that meets your needs and budget.
I posted the link to the 1 TB model:
Since a SSD is 2.5" and the hard drive is 3.5", you will need a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter to mount the SSD where the hard drive is now.
I use this model because it is the same size as a 3.5" drive, and you secure the SSD inside the enclosure.
If you don't have installation media to reinstall W8.1, it is no longer available for download, so you would have to order a W8.1 recovery kit from this vendor which is the only place I know of where you can get a recovery kit nowadays.
