Hard disk failure, need help in replacement

The user self help guide, that appears to be a regular SATA hard drive, which would be a simple replacement.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05158393.pdf

It is listed as 2TB SATA 3.5" drive Which is readily available.

However, that error might be due to something else.

To verify that, run the Diagnostics routine.

To run the Diagnostics routine, Start tapping the Esc key BEFORE starting the PC and then press the start button.
Keep tapping the Esc key until a popup menu shows. Then pick Diagnostics from that popup menu, F2.
Report back with the results.

FYI: if the drive results indicate it has failed, the Windows and other software will need to be reinstalled and any documents an useful data will be lost if you did not have a current backup.

I can help with that and possibly try to save any data.
