HP S700 Pro 2.5" 512GB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) 2AP99AA#ABL is reporting the wrong size and it will not let me format the one gig that is showing.

Greetings,
Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
A brand new 2.5 inch, 512 GB, HP SATA SSD is reporting the incorrect drive size at 1 GB?
Are you using Disk Management to initialize the new SSD?
Try reconnecting power and data cables to the SSD.
The new SSD could be faulty.
Regards

No, I have had it for a while now. I cloned it and ran for about a month and it did the same thng. That was about three months ago. I don't remember how I fixed it. And yes I have ttryed initializing it with disk management. Frankly this has me stumped. Thanks for your reply.

That particular model 2.5" SSD is circa June 2017.
Bought separately it had a 3 year warranty. Installed in an HP product, it has a 1 year warranty.
