M01-2000na
Microsoft Windows 11

Spent 45 mins looking through support documents. No Joy.

Model:   M01-2000na

Product ID: 65Q04EA

Where can I find the motherboard specifications please? I have been through the support documents. I cannot find it.

I need to upgrade the ram, but do not want to waste money. Where can I find out the specific type and max capacity specifications for this PC?

With genuine thanks,

Leo

Since you have requested the memory specs on that motherboard, I found them on the Crucial site

https://uk.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp-compaq/hp-m01-f2000na

It also lists their guaranteed memory choices.

Hi, Leo:

I found from the parts list for the product number you posted that your PC has a HP 'Groot3' motherboard.

HP PartSurfer

SPS-MB Groot3 HP 280 G5 SFF WIN

I clicked on every HP Groot3 motherboard specs link I could find and not one of them work.

However, since the part number of the motherboard indicates that the HP 280 G5 SFF entry level business class PC uses the same motherboard, here is the link to the product specs for that model which has the memory upgrade information, supported processors and whatnot:

Brochure-HP-Prodesk-280-G5-SFF.pdf

In the meantime I will ask a HP support community manager to contact the folks that manage the webpages and see if they can resurrect the link to the Groot3 motherboard specs.

The link WAS available not so long back, but now, it's malfunctioning:

If reinstated, it would reduce the number of support requests to HP, from owners seeking this information.

I would be most grateful if you'd consider keeping me posted on this.

I want to buy ram to the max capability of the board, but cannot proceed without accurate specifications.

I would prefer to purchase the modules from HP directly, but thank you for the links to the Crucial Website TOM.

On the crucial website they will include recommendations of RAM kits above the max capacity of the mainboard, which I find confusing.

My thanks to you both.

You're very welcome.

My request to fix the specs page was acknowledged and submitted to the appropriate staff for action.

I understand sometimes these things take time.

Is it possible that in the mean time, they can be sent to me in a PDF format.

Or copy and pasted here?

Its rather urgent.

Time is short.

HP Recommended

Unfortunately, that would not be possible since the webpage is still not fixed.

Anyway, I gave you the specs for the motherboard from the HP 280 G5 which uses the same motherboard as your PC.

All of the specs would be the same.

Thanks for your continued support. With your help I have successfully installed 32gb ram.

Respectful Request:

Regarding restoring/fixing access to the motherboard specifications.

Any chance of an update / chase up on this with the website team?

Warmest regards,

Quidcosingh.

You're very welcome.

I can follow up on the status of this request, but don't get your hopes up.

I don't know why it has taken this long.

Does it look like an oversight, or do with think it was deliberately made unavailable?
