@Boss100,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Yea, that is most annoying -been there done that, I'm afraid!

Anyways, unfortunately HP does not sell standalone replacement USB receivers for this specific model, as the mouse and its original dongle are uniquely paired at the factory using a permanent hardware frequency and encryption key.  As far as I understand it, because your HP OSM EL Wireless Mouse (Model: W111, P/N: 2U2H7P3) does not support HP Link-5 technology or Bluetooth, third-party universal receivers will not pair with it.

Your Best Options in India:

Since the receiver cannot be replaced by itself, you have three primary ways to handle this:

  • Contact HP India Support: If your mouse is still under warranty, reach out to HP India Support. Whilst they cannot/won't send just a dongle, they may replace the entire retail package (mouse + new receiver) for free if it is covered.
  • Purchase an Affordable New Wireless Mouse: If the device is out of warranty, buying a budget-friendly wireless replacement is the most practical choice. Highly rated, low-cost choices in India include the HP 120 Wireless Mouse (around ₹485).
  • Switch to a Temporary Wired Mouse: For an immediate, plug-and-play fix that requires no wireless receivers or batteries, you can purchase a standard USB wired mouse from electronics markets or online portals starting at roughly ₹150 to ₹200.

If you choose to purchase a new wireless mouse in the future, I would recommend looking for a model that features Bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth mice pair directly to your laptop or PC's built-in Bluetooth chip, ensuring that you will never lose functionality if a USB dongle goes missing!

Kind Regards,
