I’m currently in japan for travel and I am planning to buy larger ram (32gb) and 1 tb ssd for gaming but have no clue whether any works on my pc or which ones are good. All I have to go by is a screenshot of system information.

Would be great to hear recommendations.

Hi @kai_dayo,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot! Here’s what I can confirm from it:

Your System Specs

  • Model: HP Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop TG02-1xxx
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-13700F (13th Gen, 16 cores)
  • Platform: Desktop PC
  • BIOS: AMI F.42 (dated July 2025)
  • OS: Windows 11 Home

This is a gaming desktop, so upgrades are straightforward compared to laptops.

RAM Upgrade

  • Your system uses DDR4 or DDR5 DIMMs (depending on motherboard variant; Victus TG02 series typically uses DDR4 3200 MHz).
  • Max Supported: Usually 64 GB (2 slots or 4 slots, depending on board).
  • Recommended upgrade:
    • 32 GB total: Either 2 × 16 GB DDR4 3200 MHz or 1 × 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz.

SSD Upgrade

  • Victus TG02 supports M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 4 (backwards compatible with Gen 3).
  • Recommended:
    • 1 TB NVMe SSD (Gen 4 preferred for speed).

How to Confirm Before Buying

  • Check inside your case:
    • RAM slots: Usually 2 DIMM slots.
    • M.2 slot: Present on the motherboard for NVMe SSD.
  • Or refer to HP’s official Maintenance and Service Guide for TG02 series.

Installation Tips

  • RAM: Power off, unplug, open the side panel, and insert DIMM(s) in slots.
  • SSD: Locate M.2 slot, insert SSD at an angle, secure with screw.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
