I have a keyboard that has a tear in the clear silicone "spring" (or spring protector) under one of the keys, causing it to frequently fail to register the keystroke. I have another similar keyboard, a 803181-001 (without the smartcard reader) that I can sacrifice and rob parts from. I'd like some help fixing that tear so the keystrokes will register correctly, and I'm pretty handy with hands-on repair work and have a good number of tools. I'm thinking I should be able to take the silicone piece from the sacrificial keyboard and replace the torn silicone, but I like some guidance before I do it. Mostly, I don't see how the silicone is attached, or how to remove it. Any ideas?
