HP 2010i 20-inch Diagonal LCD Monitor

How do I hook up my monitor to anything like my smart TV or even a laptop?

An overview of your monitor is here

It has no HDMI input which makes it difficult to connect to Cable, Smartphone or laptop.

You will need an adapter like this to allow the monitor to get a video signal.

If you want to use the speakers then you need a stereo audio cable "miniature" and  not the headset type cable.

You can attach a WiFi adapter to the HDMI and cast to the monitor from a smartphone or laptop.

Any miracast adapter will work.  Possibly Apple might want you get a blessed version that works with their iPhones.
