I have a HP All-In-One 22 desktop. I lost the power cord for it a year ago. I decided to order a replacement one off amazon for 17$. It isn't a HP power cord but it fits. The computer has been really slow ever since I booted it up and can barely run games. Aside from playing games on it, it is just really slow in general. I have a suspicion that the cord I have cannot support my desktop. When I put my hand on the block that is in the middle of the power cord, it is hot to the touch. I think I don't have the right one because the block is about the size of my Chromebook charger size. Please help.

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06645098
It uses a 65 W Smart AC power adapter with power cord part # 213349-009. You can order from
https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=9EE21AA
That may take few months. You can search ONLINE sellers such as
https://www.amazon.com.au/Hewlett-Packard-prong-power-cable/dp/B00655S7EA
It is a standard power cord, you can buy at any good electrical stores

Hi, @rangechixx
The 213349-009 part number listed in the parts list for your PC is just the power cord that goes from the wall socket to the power adapter.
The actual power adapter 'brick' is not listed.
See if you can get the actual power adapter part number by entering your PC's serial number in the search box at the link below.
If you get a part number for the power adapter, I recommend you go on eBay, search by the HP power adapter part number and find a used but tested and working genuine HP power adapter.
Those normally come with the power cord as well.
