Hi! I needed to change my default DDR4 memory to Patriot Viper DDR4 3600 MHz in my HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-1033ur. I understand that it is impossible to tune 3600 MHz but I see only 2166 Mhz... How to fix 2666 Mhz at least which is supported my proccesor (Intel i5 10100) and I see in the specification of my PC https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c07045266

Its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c07045266
It supports GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM and no option for you to run higher speed.
Regards.

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-1033ur fitted with the HP Baker motherboard (SSID: 8767) -please confirm, can run/support DDR4 RAM up to 2933 MHz.
Looking at Baker SSID 8767 motherboard-fitted rigs here: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-Pavilion-Gaming-Desktop-TG01-1xxx/195603, there is only one -maybe two different RAM that will run at 2933 MHz:
1.) Hynix HMA81GU6DJR8N-XN 2x8GB, such as sold here: https://www.newegg.com/hynix-8gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/0RN-00BX-000E9
2.) Samsung M378A2G43AB3-CWE 2x16GB, such as sold here: https://www.newegg.com/samsung-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/0RN-001H-01WX1?Description=Samsung%20M378A2....
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,

Thank you for information. You mean that only couple of DDR4 modules are compatible with my HP Baker motherboard (SSID: 8767) and can be run at 2933 MHz, but why and how does it work? Why others modules can't be run even 2666Mhz?

Your question is why some (most) RAM doesn't perform as well as it could/should on HP platforms, whilst other RAM does?
Part of the answer lies in the fact that HP is discouraging their computer users on the hardware level to 'freelance' -that is swapping computer parts that they haven't checked out for compatibility, performance and reliability.
The main point is, though: it is what it is. We have learned by trial & error which RAM, for example, works and which ones don't.
There's really nothing else to say.
