I am trying to open a scandisk flash drive into my Hewlett PC but it does not want to open and I cannot see the D drive or any other drives.  How do I set my PC to write and correct my writing  English and French anywhere,  and gmai.l    I still get the red underline after someone tried to fix this.

Thank You for your help.  I am so frustrated with wrong info.

Hi @Moniquecloutier,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you want to open a USB scandisk flash drive. Kindly follow the steps below:

Connect the Flash Drive: Insert your SanDisk flash drive into one of the USB ports on your HP PC. If the PC has multiple USB ports, it doesn’t matter which port you use, as long as the port is functioning properly.

Access File Explorer:

  • Open File Explorer by clicking on the folder icon in the taskbar or by pressing Windows + E on your keyboard.

Locate the Drive:

  • In File Explorer, look for the flash drive under "This PC" or "My Computer." It might not show up as the 😧 drive directly, but as "USB Drive" or "SanDisk."

Troubleshoot Visibility Issues:

  • If the drive does not appear, try unplugging it and connecting it to a different USB port.
  • Restart your computer to refresh the USB connections.
  • Ensure that the USB ports on your PC are working by testing with another device.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
