This HP ProDesk 600 G5 SFF has an NVMe SSD. I'd like to add a 3.5" HDD. The case seems to be configured to only allow a 2.5" HDD. How can I put a 3.5" HDD in there? Is there some way to change the case configuration or replace the drive cage? Or am I misunderstanding the configuration of the drive cage? Is there a different one for 2.5" versus 3.5"?

@ALPM,

As outlined, here is where your 3.5" HDD would be positioned:

Thanks very much for your response. Did you mean something by the bolded "outlined"? I'm aware that the HDD would go there, but when I place it there in such a way that lines up with the screw holes, the top of the HDD sticks out too high (in the direction of the viewer in the photo you posted). Is it supposed to go in upside down? The maintenance and service guide for this product only shows how to replace a 2.5" HDD.

Also, do you know the specifications of the screws that are needed, beyond just the screw drive?

@ALPM,

A 3.5" drive should fit inside this drive bay, as it was intended to -see the notches which use special guide bolts (see: Lot of New OEM 4 Blue Hard Drive Mounting Screws HP 7800 7900 8000 8100 8200 R2 | eBay) which allow the HDD to slide down:
