Hey guys,

Having some issues here. I want to change the BIOS settings to RAID 0 instead of the current AHCI setup that its in. I went ahead and downloaded all original drivers, backed up my PC and also downloaded the Windows 10 installer to use after I format my hard drives. When I went into my BIOS I noticed that the RAID options weren't there, only AHCI and IDE. How do I access RAID setups? Its really bugging me.

Thanks!

@jbl28,

Simple answer is "NO" because according to AMD, your chipset does not support RAID.   It requires AM4. Your at a "3".  Actually I believe your saved from an embarrassing situation. " Since RAID 0 provides no fault tolerance or redundancy, the failure of one drive will cause the entire array to fail; as a result of having data striped across all disks, the failure will result in total data loss".

I guess my question now is can I make my computer compatible with RAID 0? Does it absolutely require a new motherboard/computer that is RAID capable? Is there a way around it?

And I understand the risks, all my important files are already stored elsewhere.

Thanks for the feedback by the way!
