How do I use the Fusion ioDrive 2 1.2Tb with HP Z420 as main disk drive (LMDE)?
Neither BIOS nor OS (LMDE) see subj. Only "lspci" returns the "04:00.0 Mass storage controller: SanDisk ioDrive2 (rev 04)" string and that's all.
How do I get the device work (if it is possible)?

the fusion IO drive is a accessed using a vender specific driver as a "block" type SSD device it has no boot capabilities whatsoever
also, the z420's bios lacks the necessary nvme code to boot from any nvme based drives unless using a software based preloader or a handful of older SSD models that had the necessary nvme boot code in the SSD's onboard firmware as such they can only be used as a non booting data drive
"search" for previous posts on booting nvme drives on the Zx20 workstations i previously posted on this subject
again, the fusion-io drives they are not boot drives and they do not have default drivers in Windows/ Linux. As a result, unlike NVMe drives, you will have to install the driver. You can simply register on the WD/ SanDisk/ Fusion-io site to get access to the downloads
