Envy 795-0010na (8CG8356WLD)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This machine has a 512gb SSD for the C: system drive, and a secondary internal 2tb SATA HDD. It therefore has 2 occupied drive/storage slots, in its present running state.

I would like to know how many slots there are in total. This is because I may wish to clone the SSD to another new SSD, and this would be far easier if the new drive is installed onboard and accessible in a spare drive slot.

I have looked through the information on this machine, which I bought in October 2018, but nowhere is there any information on the total number of drive slots for SSD/SATA drives in the machine. I would prefer not to have to open up the machine to discover this basic information, and would be grateful if anyone who does know, would kindly tell me.

Thanks,

Peter

Hello
sorry but there will be no choice I think
I do not know why, we no longer indicate the number of slots available for sata hard drives ..
We can just give the number of sata port of the motherboard, and if there is no error, what can happen!
Sometimes we have the upgrade manual, but as it works for a series, it doesn't prove anything

Hard drives 512 GB PCIe NVMe TLC M.2 Solid State 2 TB sata CD/DVD disc drive DVD Writer

One M.2 socket 3, key M

Berks motherboard top view

i see 4 sata ports, but i could be wrong!
There is obviously a particular sata power supply directly on the motherboard, this can be a problem if there is no additional sata power supply, for another disk!
