How much Ram can i upgrade in my HP G42 Notebook PC ? Currently I have 3GB Ram installed in my HP G42 Notebook PC

Hi:

 

See chapter 1, page 5 of the service manual for the memory upgrade information.

2 x 4 GB of DDR3-1333 memory is supported.

 

It's very hard to find the right memory for your notebook.

 

Make sure that it has 8 little black memory chips on each side of the circuit board, not 4, 1.5V and no faster than DDR3-1333 MHz (PC3-10600).
