A general question: What are you trying to achieve by adding more memory? There are few applications that would not work well with 16 GB of RAM.

Alas, my cr-1080 doesn't look anything like the machine in the video.
I thought adding RAM would solve the "out of memory" messages that have been crashing my apps.
