I upgraded my TP01-1127c with 32GB (2x16) G.Skill DDR4-3200 RAM and a new Intel Core i7-10700F processor but the RAM speed is still reporting 2666 MHz, not the 2933 MHz that I understand the Baker 8767 MoBo will support when using the 10th Gen Core i7 processor. Does anyone know please what settings to change to enable the 2933 MHz RAM speed after upgrading to the Core i7 CPU?
The system recognizes both the 32GB RAM and the i7-10700F processor, and is running fine but I did the upgrades to max out the system to help run a demanding 3D CAD system so would like to get the 2933 max RAM speed the system will support.
Thanks for the help!

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Unfortunately, the G.SKILL gaming RAM you purchased is stuck at its "SPD" (default) RAM speed (check your G.SKILL part number specs) and will stay there because you don't have XMP access.

Thank you @NonSequitur777 for the welcome, good to be part of the community! I have had several HP desktops and found the Community forum invaluable for the knowledge and helpfulness on the systems.
The G.Skill site lists the Ripjaws V DDR4-3200 32GB (2x16GB) SPD Speed (Default) at 2133 MT/s, but Task Manager reports mem running at 2666 MT/s. Are there DDR4 sticks with SPD set at 2933?
Thanks

Your HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-1127c (9ED95AA), according to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06693650, and: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06638240, is fitted with a Baker motherboard (SSID: 8767) [edit:] -please confirm. You already confirmed, my bad!
Now, when we look here: UserBenchmark: HP Pavilion Desktop TP01-1xxx Compatible Components, amongst HP System Pavilion Desktop TP01-1xxx Users (excluding the TP01 models with the Ryzen processors), there are plenty of RAM modules running at 2666 MHz, and doing so quite well as far as overall RAM performance is concerned:
Crucial (p/n: BLS16G4D26BFST.16FD) 2 x 16GB
G.SKILL (p/n: F4-2666C19D-32GIS) Aegis DDR4 2666 C19 2 x 16GB
TEAMGROUP-UD4-2666 Crucial (p/n: CT32G4DFD8266.M16FB( 2 x 32GB
Samsung (p/n: M378A1K43CB2-CTD) 2 x 8GB
BUT only one (1) rig -at least that I could find, with RAM that actually runs at 2933 MHz: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/62954031.
To cut to the chase: this is the RAM I would buy, if I had a TP01 Desktop: Crucial (p/n: CT32G4DFD832A.M16FF) 2 x 32GB rated at 3200 MHz, such as seen here: Crucial RAM 32GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Desktop Memory CT32G4DFD832A at Amazon.co..., of which we have evidence running at 2933 MHz on your desktop.

@NonSequitur777,
Wow thanks for finding that system running at 2933! I’ve found the 2x32GB and 2x16GB versions of that Crucial p/n locally and will pk them up today and let you know how it goes.
I’m super excited to see if somehow the 2x32GB that is listed in the benchmark system actually works in the 8767 Baker since all the HP refs I’ve seen for that MB state max of 32GB memory supported. But hey if somehow it works at 64GB that will be great!
Will let you know results later today…

You are welcome!
Yes, your HP Pavilion Desktop - TP01-1127c can be fitted with up to 2 x 32GB RAM: HP - Compaq Pavilion TP01-1127c | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com.

@NonSequitur777,
Thanks for the info above, is good to know Crucial has an upgrade site specific to HP model #s! I just wrapped up and here are my results:
Got both the 64GB (2x32GB, p/n CT32G4DFD832A.M16FF) and 32GB (2x16GB, p/n CT16G4DFRA32A.M8FF) Crucial RAM sticks and tried the 64GB pair first. System booted fine and Task Mgr showed 2933MHz speed (Yay!) and 64GB of mem. However all 3 times I went to run Novabench std test, the system would completely hang (no input response, frozen screen) from the very start of the test. And I would have to do a hard reset to get PC back up. (So 3 times with 2 hard resets in between).
Then I tried the 32GB pair - system booted fine, and Task Mgr showed 2933MHz speed (Yay again!) and 32GB RAM; and Novabench ran without issue multiple times and with multiple restarts in between just to be sure. And the memory speed benchmark results for peak speed were approx 10% higher than the prior 32GB RAM that was running at 2666MHz. Also on the restarts when I hit ESC for boot & BIOS options the system reported the 2933MHz speed, so I feel good that I’m truly getting that speed by the system.
Maybe it is my specific MoBo or something but with the 64GB freezing up like that I got nervous about the stability in other applications, and since I think 32GB should be adequate for majority of my use, I decided to go with the it.
So for future reference for other Baker 8767 HP systems, the Crucial 32GB (2 x CT16G4DFRA32A.M8FF) is working for me at 2933MHz speed with Core i7-10700F CPU, straight out of the box at boot (that is, without any XMP adjustments).
Thanks for sticking with this NonSequitur777 and providing the references, insights and helpful links! My system now is performing at peak level and I can’t wait to see the improvement in the 3D CAD application.

Outstanding!
Thank you for your positive feedback and wishing you the best of luck and smooth sailing with your 3D CAD endeavors!
