HP ENVY All-in-One - 32-a1050
Microsoft Windows 11

Can you remove the stand and mount the HP Envy All-in-One 32-a1050?

I would like to mount this machine and a 2nd equivalent screen on a standing desk. Can this be done? How? What parts do I need?

If it can't be done, is there a 2nd recommended screen to match this 32" screen? There is a b&o speaker built into the bottom of this screen and I would like my two side-by-side screens to be level.

Thanks for your help!

@jdub6 -- take a look at the image at: MotionGrey Dual Metal Computer Monitor Arm Stand Quick Release Vesa Mount Installation for up to 28 ...

It clamps to your desk, and offers two VESA mounts.

Hi @Itsmyname -- thanks for sharing, but that item only supports up to 28", whereas the hp envy all-in-one computer I have is a 32". Also the All-in-one comes premounted on a stand. So the question is, can this machine detach from the stand? And also, what is the next closest monitor I can purchase so the two displays match?

Do you have a collection of hard-cover books that can be stacked underneath the base of the monitor, to support its weight? The "arm" will provide "stability" -- without needing to carry any of the weight.

Of course, there are many other models that are available, and some of them will support 32-inch screens.

It depends on the exact model-number of your All-In-One, but the likely answer is "yes", because it is high-likely that it was shipped to you in two pieces, and you were required to join the base with the unit.

On YouTube, watch the start of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQwezVOzivk

for instructions on how to remove the display stand.

That is a complicated question.  It would be best for you to go, in person, to a "big-box" consumer electronics store, and physically inspect all their "display" units, to make the best choice, based on your specific requirements.
