How to re-enable internal graphics card with SSD m2 nvme in the pcie x16 of HP Compaq 8000 Elite SFF
Product: HP Compaq 8000 Elite SFF PC
Operating System: Linux
With the help of a small adapter, I installed SSD m2 nvme in an unused PCIe x16 slot. Everything works fine except integrated graphics. So instead of two screens I have only one (VGA).
Technical Reference Guide says:
If a PCIe graphics controller card is installed in the PCIe x4 /x16 slot, the integrated GMA will be disabled by default, but can be re-enabled through the BIOS settings to allow an alternate method of multi-monitor operation. Press the F10 key during the boot process to enter the ROM-based Setup utility and re-enable the GMA for multi-monitor operation. A PCIe x16 card installed in the PCIe x4/x16 slot will be limited to x4 operation.
But ... I can't see this option even in the latest BIOS: 786G7 v01.14
Is it possible to have DisplayPort active with SSD in PCIe x16 slot?
