I would like to mute the cooling as much as possible, there are three fans in the housing, I tried to disconnect the one from the rear housing that exhausts air, there was a clear difference but during the start of the bios there was still a message that one fan was not detected and I had to confirm each time with the F10 key to make the computer continue to start , I looked in the bios and there is no option to turn off the fan, reduce the speed or anything. I wanted to check if the CPU cooling is the loudest and not the ones in the power supply, unfortunately there is no access to stop the CPU fan and see if it is the loudest
I find this here
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04224518#d0e1456
"ThermalFan idle mode—This bar graph controls the minimum permitted fan speed.NOTE:This setting only changes the minimum fan speed. The fans are still automaticallycontrolled"
Can I lower the speed of the fans myself and nothing bad will happen?
My configuration:
i3 2120 2x3.3GHz witch original cooling
4GB RAM
Intel HD 2000 (no dedicated graphics)
All drives are SSD
