Greetings @Moskau

Welcome back to the Forum.

The Arc 380 requires a minimum 250 watt power supply having one 8pin PCIe connector.

And, the Arc 380 would probably require a UEFI BIOS to work. Is your PC using the latest BIOS offered by HP?

I have updated to the latest bios Hp offerd . I also own an hp 280 g2 which work fine with the arc a380 which mine is from sparkel it doesn't require additional power

Could it be that i wasn't able to disable the integrated gpu or what is the possibility?

Greetings @Moskau

Integrated graphics should auto disable when you install a discrete graphics card.

Did you uninstall existing graphics drivers to get to generic Windows graphics drivers before installing the Arc? I do this when the PC is disconnected from the network so Windows does not reinstall the integrated graphics driver (Intel or AMD) again.

The only other thing I could suggest, assuming the MB is using UEFI, is to disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Support. More info on disabling Secure Boot Here.

The Arc will probably not run on a PC having a Legacy BIOS which should not be confused with Legacy Support.

Try the misbehaving Arc in the 280 G2 which, I think, has a second Arc in working condition. Or try a different graphics card in the G3 PCIe x16 slot.

Maybe the G3 has a PCIe x16 slot problem.
