Hi @santukolluru,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your wireless keyboard that is not working.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, I'm here to help you today.
Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to try to get it working again:
1. Check the Batteries
- If you're using replaceable batteries (AA or AAA), try replacing them with fresh ones. Even if they seem fine, it's a good idea to rule out battery power issues.
- If the keyboard has a rechargeable battery, make sure it's charged.
2. Re-establish the Wireless Connection
- Unplug and Plug Back the Receiver: If your keyboard uses a USB receiver (dongle), unplug it from the USB port and plug it back in. Sometimes the connection gets temporarily lost.
- Reconnect the Keyboard:
- Many wireless keyboards have a "Connect" button. Look for a small button on the underside of the keyboard and press it to re-establish the connection.
- Some models may require you to also press a "Connect" button on the USB receiver.
3. Check for Interference
- Wireless Interference: Ensure there are no objects or devices that could interfere with the wireless signal, such as routers, microwave ovens, or other wireless devices.
- Try a Different USB Port: Plug the receiver into a different USB port on your computer, preferably a USB 2.0 port.
4. Restart Your Computer
- A simple restart can sometimes help reset the connection between your keyboard and the computer.
5. Update or Reinstall Drivers
- Go to Device Manager (press Windows + X and select Device Manager).
- Look for "Keyboards" and right-click on your keyboard, then select Uninstall device. Afterward, restart your PC, and Windows should automatically reinstall the necessary drivers.
- Alternatively, check for any available driver updates from the HP support website or use Windows Update to see if new drivers are available.
6. Test the Keyboard on Another Device
- Try plugging the wireless receiver into another computer or laptop. This will help determine if the issue lies with the keyboard or your Windows 11 system.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a great day ahead!
