@nailtlgl,

What are the chronological events of this machine?

That model has had a long life, first issued with WIN XP thru WIN 7.  The BIOS released you mentioned are all listed with WIN 7.

1) What was the OS when you got it?

2) What was the OS when you installed 5.19

Why do you state you need 6.18?

@nailtlgl,

Installed RAM never equals useable RAM.

@nailtlgl,

The install notes finding an improper BIOS based on the simple fact that 6.18 was never issued for WIN 10. The 6.19 ROM paq doe not fix any RAM issues. Because I sense total disagreement, I am sending the complete explaination of the ROM paq.

In your other question, you state that you have THREE sticks of RAM, not FOUR, namely two 2GB and one 4GB.

Be sure to put the two 2GB sticks into the two "black" RAM slots, to get "dual channel" operation.

If you [wrongly] put one 2GB stick and one 4GB stick into the two "black" RAM slots, only 2GB per stick will be usable.

Thus, 2/actual plus 2/usable plus 2/actual gives you 6GB.

Either purchase another, matching, 4GB stick, or exchange the one 4GB stick for two 2GB sticks.
