@jjjjjjjjjjjjjj4,

You mean you can purchase an OMEN by HP 45L GT22-1010nl Gaming Desktop PC fitted with either an i7-13700K or an i9-13900KF and an RTX 4090 24 GB graphics card for just €1500 (US$ 1,576)?

Are you kidding me: yes, of course you should buy that system for that pricing!

Kind Regards,

Thank you so much for your kind advice.

You can see it here:

https://support.hp.com/it-it/document/ish_7549757-7553312-16

It is not a i9-13900k, but a i7-13700k only, but for €1500 I think I should not give up the purchase because of the CPU.

Just the GPU 4090 24gb alone costs much more, am I right?

I can upgrade the CPU later.

By the way, in the link above HP says you can upgrade with i9-13900k or kf only.

But as here in Italy the i9-14900k or KF is cheaper, do you think I can upgrade the CPU with the i9-14900k or kf?

I really have no words to thank you.

You are always so kind.

I wish you all the best you deserve,

Luca

@jjjjjjjjjjjjjj4,

Any Intel Core 13th gen processor would be compatible with this system: i7-13700Ki7-13700KF, i9-13900Ki9-13900KF, and likely also the specially binned i9-13900K (hence the "S") sold as the i9-13900KS if you are really into getting the best of the best.  Please be advised that with the latter processor, getting a processor heatsink cooling upgrade would be in order.

But make no mistake: an i7-13700K in and of itself has plenty of horsepower under the lid to run circles around any Triple-A (VR) game at 4K with ultra-high settings when paired with the mighty RTX 4090!

Personally, I prefer the "KF" processor options, where the "F" means that the processor doesn't have integrated graphics.  That is no big deal whatsoever, since we rely on discrete graphics cards anyway.

I migliori auguri per il nuovo anno!

Kind Regards,

Dear friend,

Once again, no words to thank you.

At the same time, so no way to istall the i9-14900k or i9-14900kf, but i9-13900k or i9-13900kf (and KS!) only , have I understood right?

Felice Natale e buon Anno Nuovo anche a te, ciao!

@jjjjjjjjjjjjjj4,

That is a really good question, as HP's specs for the ArcticOC motherboard (SSID: 8A96) does specify 14th gen processors as being compatible:

But I haven't seen any Intel Core 14th gen processors in this Userbenchmark site for the OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop GT22-1xxx: UserBenchmark: HP OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop GT22-1xxx Compatible Components.

As a matter of fact, according to Intel, the Z790 Chipset is supposed to be compatible with 12th, 13th and 14th gen Intel Core processors: Intel® Z790 Chipset.

Kind Regards,

My dear friend,
I'd need your help again.
A colleague of mine has an HP OMEN 45L GT22 desktop PC with an HP oem NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB dedicated graphics card.
Now, she wants to replace it with an HP oem NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 16GB dedicated graphics card.
Assuming it exists, could you kindly tell me what adaptive power cable she needs to buy to power the new HP RTX 4070 TI SUPER 16GB video card by connecting it to the cable that comes out of the power supply and is now connected to the HP RTX 4060 8GB?
As usual, I have no words to thank you.
Best regards from Italy,
Luca

@jjjjjjjjjjjjjj4,

Yes, there are RTX 4070 Ti Super graphics cards.  These cards require an ATX 750-watt minimum power supply, and a 16-pin 12VHPWR PCIe power connector cable.  If your friend's power supply doesn't have one of those power cables, then you'll have to use a dual 8-pin PCIe to 16-pin PCIe power adapter cable, such as this Amazon-US "Type A" or "Type B" purchase example, as I couldn't locate one of these via Amazon-Italy: Amazon.com: 12VHPWR 90 Degree Adapter to 2X 8Pin: 16AWG 16 PIN GPU Right Angle PCI-E 5.0 Extension f....

I personally would recommend the smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4070 Ti Super model, such as this example: MSI RTX 4070 Ti SUPER VENTUS 2X Specs | TechPowerUp GPU Database.

Kind Regards,

Thank you for your prompt and courteous response.

The power supply should be strong enough to power the HP 4070 ti super 16GB.

This colleague's HP OMEN 45L GT22 model is as follows:

While regarding the cable, by entering the information you sent me in Amazon Italy, I would have found this one: would it be ok?

Once again, thank you very much!

Postscript.

I think this one is the right cable she needs:

Please, have kindly a look when you have a minute, before sending me to hell!

Are are you doing, my friend?

I hope so much everything is OK with you.

@jjjjjjjjjjjjjj4,

You don't need a quadruple 8-pin PCIe to 16-pin PCIe power adapter cable to power an RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB.

A dual or triple 8-pin PCIe to 16-pin PCIe power adapter cable is sufficient.

Kind Regards,
