Hp Omen 45L - Upgrade / Replace RAM

Hi,

Last year, I bought a OMEN by HP 45L Gaming Desktop PC GT22-0000i (393C6AV) - Product33T58AA and have been happy with it.

I now would like to upgrade or replace the memory from 16G to 32G.  However it uses "hyperx 16 gb ddr4-3733 mhz xmp rgb heatsink ram" (2 x 8 Gb) which I can't find anywhere.

So I was thinking to replace the existing sticks with 2 x 16 gb with 3600 MHz memory (e.g. CORSAIR - DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB (2PK x 16GB) 3600MHz DDR4 C18 DIMM Desktop Memory RGB ).

Would that work?  Would performance noticeably be slower because of the slower MHz?  Would it even work as the original memory is 3200 MHz that is overclocked I believe?

It is highly recommended to upgrade the memory with guaranteed compatible memory modules.

That is particularly important if you want the upgrade to work out of the box.

I suspect you won't really notice the slight difference in bandwidth between the original memory modules and the upgraded ones.

I will have a look at these options. 

I like the Newegg Fury memory, but it's a bit of a shame that one has to have it delivered from Hong Kong.  One would think the HP OMEN would be a bit more mainstream and components to be available a little closer by.
